Music has
been a major influence within my family history.
My grandfather
taught me to play the harmonica and how to make a flute from
a tree.
I learned
music theory, piano repair and tuning plus
band
instrument repair at the
State University of New York.
In 1995 I
started Carlsen Music to do minor repairs on Clarinets, flutes,
oboes, trumpets, saxophones, etc.
Since then
my focus has been mainly on pianos; repairing, tuning and
selling them.
I've been
a
member of the Piano
Technicians Guild since 1999.
I built my
in-home studio in 2004 in Burlington, Vermont. The studio
